I've been making this cornbread stuffing for years, but this year I made the turkey as well . The turkey was moist and flavorful and the stuffing inside the turkey was amazing.

This was only my 2nd time to make a turkey, and my first was not so great. This time, it came out excellent. The smell while cooking was incredible. The bacon was the best ever. This was so delicious. My family (husband and 4 boys "gobbled" it up, and only want this recipe from now on!

This was my "first thanksgiving" turkey 4 years ago--and I think my husband would cry if I ever tried making it another way. He's hooked! One thing I do, though, is when the turkey's out of the oven and resting, I pull off the bacon, crumble it into little pieces, and mix it into the stuffing. Makes it sweet and yummy!

I have been making this recipe for about 5 years. I used it for my first Thanksgiving married and the family loved it. I will never use another recipe, this is that perfect. It is so fun and the stuffing is amazing married with the turkey, maple syrup and sage butter. I have passed this recipe along to my friends and they too use this ever year as well. I can't wait until Thanksgiving because I just bought an 18 pound free range organic fresh turkey from upstate New York that is supposed to be the best, I can't even imagine how great it will taste with this recipe. I buy large turkeys so we can use the leftovers for Turkey pot pie, Turkey noodle soup and home made babyfood, What a treat to be able to have such wonderful flavors incorporated in so many recipes! Thanks Tyler!

I really enjoyed this turkey. Next time I do not plan on putting the bacon on top because I did not taste any bacon flavor. However, the basting was wonderful. It tasted great and gave a really wonderful color to the turkey. The corn bread stuffing was good but, I have a better recipe that I will use next time. The basting and sage butter really make a wonderful tasting and very tender turkey. This is now my new turkey recipe.

I found Tyler's recipe 3 years ago when making my first Thanksgiving, it is now requested every year. The recipe is easy and uses all ingredience I love- Turkey (moist, cornbread, maple syrup and butter. The only change I made is, I bought an injector and I actually inject the maple mixture into the meat of the turkey, it makes it so moist and flavorful. Anyone I have ever had try the turkey asks for the recipe and never turns back.

This is the best recipe I've ever used and to make it even more maple flavor I brine the turkey in a maple syrup brine the night before it even more better!!!

I have made this turkey the past two Thanksgivings. This will be the third time I am using this recipe. I have just e-mailed it to my Mom. The turkey is tender, moist and very flavorful. I used to try different recipes every year, however, once you try this one it will be the only one you'll use. It is really that fabulous tasting. I just used a store bought turkey from one of the warehouse stores in my area. Tyler is fantastic. Love his recipes!

I don't care much for turkey. I saw this on FN a couple of years ago and decided to try it since I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner for some friends. This is the best baked turkey I have ever eaten. I even buy a turkey occaisionally just to cook it this way besides on Thanksgiving. I wouldn't think of cooking turkey any other way!

I'm like a lot of cooks; I enjoy trying something new each year for Thanksgiving. Truth is, no matter what I did; herbs, nuts, fruit, it seems every Turkey tasted about the same.

This recipe was actually in Bon Appetit magazine in an article about Tyler cooking for his son. I love turkey, bacon, maple syrup and cornbread; what could go wrong?

Nothing; the only problem; if you can call it that is that this will be the bird I serve now. I've already heard from friends they can't wait for my maple/bacon bird.

The combination of flavors is great (lucky to have fresh sage still in Nov; do make sure you use the same and the bacon not only adds to that, but keeps the breast pieces from drying out.

    Just fabulous!
