I used this recipe to cook my first ever turkey, and it turned out great. The only advice I have is to pour some extra stock over the cornbread stuffing going into a baking dish, and make sure you cover the dish with aluminum foil, and cook for a short amount of time. I followed the directions a little too closely and just put the baking dish in with the turkey, and of course it was over cooked and burnt when I went in for the first round of basting.

I was very let down with this recipe. The ingredients sounds so good, but I had a tough time stomaching this. The smell of burnt maple syrup (from the bottom of the pan was sickening. The bacon fell off the turkey while we were carving it and noone at the table really seemed to love it. Bummer.

I made this for our first family thanksgiving and wow; I got rave reviews all around! The turkey was great, I actually covered it in cheescloth to protect moisture and placed bacon on when the turkey was almost finished. Turned out great!
