I would love to have more info on the tomato smoking process used by the family in Naples. I've searched high and low for info with little success. Can anyone help?

This is easily the most simple, best tasting pizza crust I've ever made. Almost every single recipe of Chef Florence's that I've tried has truly been the "ultimate." Thank you for all of the help making me look like the best home cook in town! Kathy B. in Lincoln, NE

I am so surprised by how much I liked this pizza- I usually don't like meatless pizzas. This dough is very forgiving, you can knead the heck out of it and it's still good. The San Marzano tomatoes may be expensive, but they REALLY make the difference in a pizza like this. I used a smaller amount of dried thyme and oregano instead of the fresh. I really liked the salt in the dough. This makes a BIG pizza. Definitely give this a try if you're interested in making your own pizza.

This is our all time favorite pizza ever! The crust is so easy - almost fool-proof. We make the crust in the food processor - and it takes just literally seconds to make it. We adjusted the salt by about 1/2 and doubled the sugar. We like a bit sweeter/less salty crust. There is no meat on this pizza, but you'd never miss it. I made my second pizza with loads of meat - and the Margherita Pizza was the first to go. It was so much better! Thanks Tyler

I made this pizza and the rest of the recipes from his Ultimate Pizza Party Show. I made the pizza dough in my bread machine to make it easier on myself. The flavor of this pizza was fabulous (San Marzano tomatoes are expensive little buggers, but had trouble with the sauce making the pizza very watery and thus the dough was doughy. I tried cooking the sauce down to deepen the flavor and get rid of some of the water, but I guess it wasn't enough. Any suggestions?

What a rich-tasting sauce! The dough was really easy to make. This is a keeper for sure!
