This was so yummy! BUT, I would cook it on an indoor grill next time. Bacon grease + open flame = Big fire!!!

Oh my goodness! These are just fantastic. I needed to make them in a hurry and quickly looked online for a recipe. I didn't have Miso paste, so I substituted Hoisin Sauce and left out the lemon. SO SO good. Since it was raining out, I put them on a cookie sheet and broiled them in the oven. Only had to flip them once with about 8 minutes per side. Bacon was done completely and no toothpicks needed to hold the bacon in place. In hindsight, I would NOT use a flat cookie sheet again. Forgot about the bacon grease run off issue. Would definitely use a pan with sides like a jelly roll or even a cake pan if nothing else available. The thinner the bacon cut the better. It makes them much easier to wrap.

Made this wonderful glaze and fell in love with it. I have put it on everything from BBQ shrimp to a veggie dip. It's a must try.

I made these for a party and everyone loved them. Even people who do not like asparagus. I used partially cooked bacon and I was able to get a well cooked product.

I don't mind a little under-cooked bacon. I could never get the sides cooked while the sides meeting the grill came close to burning. Flavors very good, however. Made more than enough basting material to do four times the recipe. I am going to apply to some chicken and see how it goes.
