I made these last year for an Easter Brunch that I hosted for about 20+ friends and family. I made them a little smaller than a normal scone since I had other baked goods, but everyone loved these. They were easier than I expected to make, always a plus, and they were a great crowd pleaser! I've had several friends request the recipe and all have had equal success with them.

Not sure what I am doing wrong, I've made these 4x now and each time I can't seem to get the dough to hold together enough to form them into squares. So I always end up adding a bit more cream and then they run a bit too much when I bake them. I guess I need a visit from Tyler! Also open to any suggestions as to how to work with this dough. Thanks in advance!

It's hard to find a scone recipe that doesn't produce dried out tasteless scones. This one is the best ever!

tyler has done it again. these scones are some of the best i've ever had, even better than ones i've had in england. they are light, fluffy and perfect. i didn't have blueberries so I used dried cranberries. they came out fine and i am not sure why some of the readers had trouble with the salt. so far, i every tyler florence recipe i've tried is delicious, easy and well thought out.

I made this for a brunch along with a broccoli, swiss, and ham quiche (actually, it doesn't have a crust, so my wife insists it's not a quiche.

I used half and half, and instead of dropping the scones by tablespoons, I formed a round loaf shape and cut into eight triangles.

I glazed the scones before they were cool, which resulted in the glaze being absorbed into the scones. It was deleicious.

    I highly recommend this recipe.

I have made this recipe three times since the fourth of July because my family has asked for these scones! The recipe is perfect and so easy. The scones are better than any you have eaten from a bakery. As for how they taste the next day, I can't say....never any left over.

My husband brought these into work with him, and anti-scone people tried them, and were blown away. Everybody loved them, saying they weren't heavy and dry like most scones. They are heavenly, and I've tried them with both buttermilk and cream--fabulous either way.
