I followed the recipe completely. These were great. Not sure what the previous poster did wrong, but they did not turn out like pancakes at all. The family devoured them.

This recipe is just ok, although I honestly think I could have gotten the same taste and consistancy using Bisquick. They are more like blueberry pancakes than scones. Mine were not crispy on the outside like I was expecting despite their golden color. Also, the batter itself is pretty bland. I won't be making these again.

These were wonderful! I had to add another half cup of powdered sugar to get the consistency I wanted. They went well with my Americano this morning. Overall, this recipe is a keeper!

I dont think its fair to review a recipe if you alter it by more than a measurement or small ingredient difference. I made these exactly as the recipe calls and they were amazing, so perfect for college students abroad: Easy ingredients, easy assembly. I would make them again for sure:

I don't like altering recipes, but with this one I did after I had already tried the recipe as is. To change the texture to something more like a scone, I substituted 1/3c. flour with 1/3c ground quick oats. I made this during the winter, so I had to change the blueberries to cranberries. I also added a touch of lemon juice in the glaze. Overall, this recipe is very good!

Well they tasted good, but they turned out more like the tops of muffins that scones. The more I researched afterward, the more I realized people have different ideas of what scones are -- I thought they were triangle-shaped and crumbly. The were moist. They were great, but not what I was expecting!

My Boyfriend LOVED these. I made them as directed but I made them a little big, I think. They took about 25 minutes to cook. Either that or my old oven is to blame. I couldn't keep him out of these. I didn't get to make the orange glaze this time because I don't own a glass bowl to make a double boiler. Honey on them tastes pretty good too. I'll be making these again :

These were delightful! I used buttermilk-that's what I had on hand-and I will use it from now on! It made the scones tangy, nice with the sweet icing. Mine also was still thin, but I didn't worry too much, it worked!

Love it! I made a double batch for my wife and I to take to work. Everyone in both offices loved them. What is the definition of "thickened"? How do you get the glaze to thicken? I don't have a double boiler but have used a pyrex bowl over one of my pots on many other occasions. This time no luck, the glaze is still fairly thin. I noticed a number of comments on reducing the amount of juice. Has anyone had any luck with this?
