Very easy to make. Flavors mesh together really well. I used less oil and salt. It was absolutely delicious. Husband loved it too.

Really great everyone loves this dish when I make it. My sister just asked me to cook this for dinner while visiting her for my nieces graduation. Recipe is a little intense but not real difficult and well worth it.

You have never steered me wrong, and this was no exception. This is a GREAT technique, and the results are really terrific! A great entree for a dinner party. Paired with a good ceasar, crusty warm bread and some ripe sliced tomatoes with basil, this was a hit. Thanks!

Not only does this taste incredible, but it is absolutely gorgeous sitting in a large serving bowl! It looks as delicious as it tastes. Very simple to make and a great way to impress family and friends.

I made this last night and it was insanely good. I use fresh spinach in place of broccoli rabe, because it was not to be found at my market and the spinach added something similar along with some vitamins to an otherwise pretty calorie laden dish.

I also used canned clams, due to budgetary and time constraints (getting whole clams out of the shells. I know - all you uber-food snobs are cringing, but it works just fine in the recipe. Just add the canned clams for the last couple of minutes, after reducing the wine mixture for a while.

Previous comments noted that they were having trouble getting the flavors to mesh, and that the dish seemed salty. I found that the flavors mesh best if you use measurements as close to the recipe as possible, and if you use 1 cup chicken stock and 1 cup wine, rather than 2 cups of wine (chicken stock is a given option in the recipe. Also, when it calls for you to season to taste with salt and pepper - omit the salt and just season with pepper.

Be aware that if you use the 1/2 and 1/2 chicken stock and wine, the mixture will take longer to reduce and allow for a somewhat thicker sauce. Plan for about 20-30 minutes of simmer time, rather than 10, and add fresh clams when there is 10 minutes left or canned clams when there is 2-3 minutes left.

If you can't find orecchiette, try average sized conchiglie (shells.
