I have made this wonderful pulled pork numerous times for company and always receive rave reviews. The sauce is very unusual-- not too sweet like many bottled sauces. This recipe is a hit!

but the sauce is horrible! It's too sour and bitter. Nobody liked it. This kind of sandwich needs a K.C. Masterpiece type of sauce or homemade that is similar.

    Don't use the sauce!!!

This is so good!!! I've made it a bunch of times for just the family, as well as parties & church events. Everyone enjoys it; just in case, have some traditional Kansas City Barbecue sauce for those who don't like the mustard-based sauce. We love the mustard sauce, so I usually make 2 or 3 batches of it at once; it's great on chicken, etc. To make the sauce really exquisite, add a ladleful of the meat drippings & take a hand-blender to it to smooth it out.

I usually brown the rubbed meat on the grill outside, then drop it into the crockpot on low for 6-8 hours...comes out so tender it melts in your mouth, & you don't have to run the oven all day!

I made three butts for my Memorial day party (about 25 people and every last morsel was devoured. This was one of the easiest things I have ever made and everyone kept asking for the recipe. And the sauce was soooooo good. I never thought that such great barbecue could be made in the oven.
    Wonderful recipe!

I made this recipe for a barbeque recently and did it ever turn out great. Was so moist and delicious. I made the sauce, but found it had way too much vinegar in it so I made my own and it was just perfect. I had no leftovers!

The meat came out perfect and the rub was so great with nice flavor, really enhanced the meat!! Loved it. The only problem was the BBQ sauce... to much vinegar. I have to admit though, I'm not a big fan of strong vinegar, so I served it on the side.

I always enjoy Tyler's Dial 911. This pulled pork recipe, with the exception of the barbeque sauce I rate a 5 Star. I was cooking for a huge crowd and did not want to be in the kitchen forever. I took a chance to make this the same day as my gathering, and it was so simple and tasted so delicious. No one like the accompanying recipe so I had to quickly make a ketchup based recipe which was great.

I will make the pork recipe again and again.

I thought 6 hours would be way too long for the pork roast but it was just perfect. The BBQ sauce was a little too vinagary for my taste but I added about another cup of catsup and another half cup of brown sugar. Very good though!
