This recipe was incredible!! The turkey was very juicy, tender, and flavorful. The stuffing was great as well. We actually didn't have enough stuffing for another dish, but the turkey was kind of overflowing. Anyway, we will certainly add this to our Thanksgiving tradition!!!

This recipe was as easy as it was billed, and tastes wonderful! The stuffing is simple and savory--we used a honey cornbread, and it added a sweetness that was delicious. I'll be coming back to this one, and probably will cook it for family sometime in the next year. I'll try not to pretend that it's my own!

He had purchased the breasts alone, not from a whole bird. You can usually find them in the meat section since not everyone is a fan of dark meat or just doesn't have the time to cook a whole bird. Just make sure you buy one that doesn't have the bone in. Check with the butcher to see what he has and can trim for you. They don't sell turkey breasts like they sell frozen chicken breasts. Usually they'll be unfrozen, or frozen just like the large turkeys but those have the bone in and you can't use them for this recipe. Along with the need for the smoked turkey wings for the gravy this is where the meat counter comes in handy.

Tyler used 2 boneless turkey breasts, the serving size says there are 10-12 servings. So if you have a large crowd you may have to double the recipe. I think the recipe is more for smaller gatherings but if you're up for the extra work it might be worth it.

I just watched this episode on TV, but missed the first part. Does anyone know how big the turkey breasts are?

I am trying to figure out how much to get to make for 15 people. It sounds like an amazing dish, can't wait to try it!

As I was planning on doing a whole turkey, I decided to opt out on the leftovers when I saw Tyler on TV. This is a faboulous idea and I can't wait to try it. I freeze leftover homeade cornbread for dressings, and, I am excited about the whole meal. I bought a three pound turkey breast and had the butcher debone it for me. I know its a small one but its just two of us...I know without even tasting it is gonna be delicious, I am having a hard time finding a smoked turkey wing as my major grocery store doesn't carry them over Thanksgiving, because, they wanna sell their supply of Turkerys...but everything is is readily available and will be on my table come Thanksgiving. This is a no brainer, very creative, elegant and I am sure Delishioso !

I missed the beginning of the episode and did not see him cut the turkey breasts or anything. Does anyone know if he had a whole turkey and cut it himself? Or did he purchase it cut from the market? I found a turkey with the legs/thighs removed but that's the closest I've come to finding a 'turkey breast' as I have had trouble finding already cut turkey breasts (like how they sell chicken breasts. So should I be cutting the breast from the body of the bird for this recipe?

FYI: Tyler is doing this recipe on the Today Show Thanksgiving morning. (However, I do not want to wait that long to figure out how to do this

Having lost my beloved husband of 30 years this past April, I also lost my chief cook who always made our turkeyday meal. I had basically planned on having a frozen turkey dinner until I watched this episode of the show. Based upon all the reviewers' comments, I am planning on using Tyler's menu for myself. Of course, I will only be using one breast and will not be making the gravy with a smoked turkey wing since I couldn't find one of them. Since I'm not much of a gravy eater anyway, I'll probably fall back on a gravy mix. In addition I will be using my late mom's dinner roll recipe.

I am so glad I found this recipe. Wish me luck though since I'm not much of a cook.

We made this tonight, a couple of notes:
    - it was very very good
    - we only used 1 breast, which was barely enough for four, next time I'll make two
    - i didn't realize the breast I bought came on the bone, next time I'll check
    - brine the breast (or buy one that's brined already
    - we made a pan gravy after the breast was done, I added white wine to the pan to deglaze, then added chicken stock, flour, and thyme until I got the consistency/flavor I wanted.

Overall this was very very good.

I was on my way to making my first turkey ever this Thursday (a little nervous about that until I stayed up late Friday night and saw Tyler's episode on these recipes. I have changed my mind and is now going with the turkey breast. Now I don't have time to test this but I have full faith that it is going to turn out delicious. I LOVE all of Tyler's recipes. He's one chef on food network that I know delivers! Happy Thanksgiving to Tyler and his family!
