We tried this and loved it. Much easier than cooking the whole bird.
By the way, Olive Oil is way better for you than butter!

A whole turkey is intimidating to many (and wasteful for small fgatherings. Tyler
gives us the best of the flavors and memories in the receipe. We eat turkey
all year and this was a hit with my family - no leftovers. Gravy was FABULOUS.
Didn't try the taters yet. Tyler is the best teaching chef on TV.
P.S. Leslie - save the butter for the potatoes.

I felt like an early Thanksgiving meal and this did not disappoint. The turkey breast I bought was pretty big (~3lbs so I thought there was no way it would cook so quickly, but it came out perfect. I just used a big oven safe saute pan to sear it first and then stick in the oven instead of a roasting dish. The mashed potatoes that are also in this episode are amazing as well.

Someone needs to take the bottle of Olive Oil away from this guy!!!!! Thanksgiving is an American Holiday not originating in Southern Italy which, in my opinion, calls for the use of BUTTER. Tyler Florence's ridicoulous over usage of Olive Oil anymore makes him a joke anymore. For a really good set of recipes to try for this Thanksgiving I would suggest the ones by Alexandra Guarnaschelli-"The Cooking Loft".
