I use Bertolli light oil instead of butter. Great recipe.

    I just do not understand why i d i o t s must rate a recipe without making it first. At least they didn't affect the rating. I wish Food TV would have a s t u p i d comment section just for the i d i o t s.

I made this two years in a row for Thanksgiving dinner. My husband (who does all the cooking loved this recipe so much that I will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner from now on. Its too good to enjoy only once a year so I will be making this again for his birthday dinner. Thanks Tyler!

This was certainly the best poulty I've ever tasted, or made. Not a bad thing to say about it, and the stuffing was also great! The method of buttering the turkey inside the skin really works wonderfully!

I don't think that I will ever use another recipe for turkey ever again (sorry, mom. This was so easy to do (putting the sage butter under the skin was a little gross, but I chalked it up to experience and the most delicious turkey I have EVER had. I have to admit, I chose this recipe because of the bacon, but when it's all over and the turkey is carved and ready to go, if you take the bacon off of the turkey and chop it up and stir it into the stuffing that came out of the bird, you will never want to eat anything else ever again.

    Viva Tyler!

I made the turkey & stuffing for Thanksgiving 2008. This was my 1st turkey that I cooked...ever! Everyone really enjoyed it. My husband said that this was the most moist turkey that he has ever had in his life. The stuffing was oh sooo good, too. I added a Macintosh Apple to the stuffing (which I saw & ate at a banquet....it was soooo good! The apple added a touch of sweetness to the stuffing. I will make again!

This is the best. Better than our awesome deep fried turkey. Just the best.

THIS IS MY SECOND YEAR MAKING THIS TURKEY AND I WILL PROBABY BE LEAVING THE SAME COMMENT IN ANOTHER 10 YEARS AGAIN.

WE ABSOLUTETLY LOVE THIS TURKEY. IT IS NICE AND JUICY. THE FLAVOR IS INCREDIABLE. THE AROMA IS SO HOLIDAY-ISH!

THE CORNBREAD STUFFING IS TO PASS OUT FOR!

This was my first official Thanksgiving dinner. I used Tyler's brine recipe, and then used the sage and butter to roast the turkey. The turkey turned out plump, tender and juicy. Thanks a lot Tyler!
