I use a Reynolds cooking bag for the larger turkeys. The bag instructions say to roast a 24 lb unstuffed turkey at 350 F for approx three and a half hours; a stuffed turkey takes 30 minutes longer. The bag keeps the turkey moist.

I've got a 20 pounder, Has anyone adjusted this recipe to accommodate for a bigger bird?

I made this turkey as well as Tyler's Caramelized Onion & Cornbread Stuffing, AND the Whipped Sweet Potatoes with Bananas & Honey for Thanksgiving last year and Tyler was my Thanksgiving HERO. Everything turned out fantastic. Actually, every recipe of Tyler's that I've tried has been nothing less than phenomenal. Needless to say, I will be serving the same menu this year.

I made this last year after seeing the show- I had never cooked a turkey before. Everyone loved it. It was moist, tender, and flavorful. Leave it to Tyler to once again give us a simple tastey recipe! Thank you!!

Three Thanksgivings ago, I volunteered to make a turkey for the very first time in my life. This has become our big family's favorite turkey recipe, and a huge hit with in-laws. ;

Although we still give some credit to Tyler Florence, my husband is now well known for this beautiful, wonderfully moist, and extreemly tasty turkey. We serve this recipe at least twice a year. This is our absolute favorite recipe.

My husband usually cooks the turkey, but I used this recipe for Thanksgiving & everyone RAVED! I didn't use Tyler's stuffing (some family traditions must stick, but our traditional stuffing went so well with this recipe.

Although I loved the flavors of this turkey, Tyler should have known not to cook a turkey at such a high temp. This was the first time I had cooked my bird higher than 325 and was extremely disappointed when it turned out dry. The idea is great; the execution is not. If you like a savory stuffing, I wouldn't try this one. The cornbread makes it a bit on the sweet side, so I'll probably stick with my traditional recipe next time. The sage butter method, however, is a keeper.

My family thought this was the moistest, best-tasting turkey we've ever had. Will make it again!
