I will definiely make this again. It was a delicious dish served at my annual Christmas brunch. I followed the recipe exactly, but didn't use any whipped cream topping. It was a huge hit.

I made this one but substituted the pears for apples and the cranberries for golder raisins. It was delicious, easy, and I received so many compliments. Thanks for the GREAT recipe!

This is a wonderful dessert for those of us who are not bakers. I serve it in pretty pedestal dishes and put a small scoop of icecream in each pear. I used to just serve it just for company but not anymore it is so easy to put together and wonderful to taste. A great use of pears.

I made this recently for my church, I substituted Craisins for fresh cranberries, and reduced the b.sugar for the topping to 1/4 cup - it was a big hit. Will definitely make it again - people are asking for the recipe :

Tyler Florence's Pear Cobbler with Cranberry Streusel is a good recipe but could use some "enhancements" to make it even better. The variations that we used for the cobbler included adding some orange zest (small orange, juice of one small orange, and substitute part tapioca flour for all purpose flour (make cobbler bind together better. Optionally you could add ground nuts, raisins and even a little orange extract to the cobbler mix. Also we preferred quartered Bosch pears. For the streusel we added some raisins and chopped nuts and even reduced the amount of butter. One cautionary note is that the amount of streusel will need to be adjusted depending on the pan you use for the cobbler...larger pan more streusel.

I made this dessert and it was excellent! I did not have cranberries on hand so I left them out. The pears tasted very good even without them. The streusel topping was delicious. This recipe is a keeper.

Wonderful, vanilla + pears + winner!! Used whole berry CB in a can. Didn't have whipped cream, but saw some heavy cream and thought of my 'boat motor' and said 'there ya go!'
