Great recipe - definitely worth the work. I also made it the night before. I didn't use pepper vodka but I will next time to add more zip. Thanks!

I made these the night before a football game to enjoy the next day tailgating. They were a huge hit! I agree with making them ahead to let the flavors mix! I am making again for a Christmas brunch.

I LOVE this recipe! I found that it's better on the second day once all the ingridients have time to combine. If you're entertaining, I would suggest making the night before. Make ahead recipes are the BEST!!

Close, but the best Pitcher Bloody Mary recipe was in the Southern Living recipe collection from 1981

Definitly the best Bloody Mary I ever made myself, I'm trying to remember a better one I've had "out" and can only think of one that measures up. I'm not sure why I chose this recipe to try, but I'm so glad I did. The pitcher was gone in no time, everyone loved these Bloodys.

Wow! I made this (with some additional siracchi for heat for true Bloody Mary connoisseurs over the holidays and they were blown away. The lime juice is the key, I think. The next day my son had a glass without the liquor and he said he did not want to swallow because it just tasted so good in his mouth! It reminds me of shrimp cocktail sauce. I would highly recommend this recipe and make it the day before. And don't add the vodka till you serve it individually, because the virgin left overs are terrific.
