So easy, so cheap and so good! I made this for 12 people for the 4th of July. For under $100 I made the sandwiches, bbq sauce, cole slaw and Tyler's potato salad. For the bbq sauce, I added a little more ketchup and threw in some dark beer. It was amazing. This is definitely something going into my fav recipe box!

I live in Europe and can't see the video, so that's why I'll aks my question here: Do I need to cover the meat or not? And do I need to put it on a rack in the roasting pan??

Yum! Buy a big pork shoulder. Left the sauce on the side and kids loved it plain, too.

The first time I made this recipe was 10 years ago for a Memorial Day party and high school graduation for my son. It was a hit than and this weekend I did it again for the annual Memorial Day party and without a doubt was a major hit. I had 16 lbs. of pulled pork and it was all gone within the first hour it was out!And by the way, this time my son proposed to his girlfriend.

This recipe from the rub to the coleslaw is delicious! When I first made the BBQ sauce, I was concerned that it was to acidic from the vinegar. However, when the drippings are added from the pork, it mellows it out. I let it sit all day while the roast cooked (6 hours on a wood pellet grill. After adding the drippings, it sat for another hour or so. We mixed the BBQ sauce with the pulled pork, added it to a bun and topped with the Cole slaw. The slaw has wonderful flavor and thoroughly compliments the pulled pork. I cooked a 7 lb roast, had several people over and they all thought it was one of the best pulled pork and slaw they had ever eaten. Thanks Tyler!

I am only reviewing the pulled pork part of the recipe.
This was my first attempt at making pulled pork. Growing up in the North one did not see many pulled pork dishes on the menu let alone have them cooked at home. Well I am very pleased with my first attempt! My sweet husband ate until he hurt he was so full! I did follow the rub recipe to the letter. I did use sea salt and did not find it too salty at all. I allowed it to marinate over night and then cooked it slow in the oven for 4 hours. My cut of meat was just under 5lbs. It was perfect when I pulled it out. Very juicy and great flavor. I will be making this again. I do not like mustard based BBQ sauces so I just use our favorite store brand. Thanks Tyler!

My house smelled so good while it was roasting. The sauce was a little too mustard-y for my taste but my husband loved it. Next time I think I'll switch the mustard and ketchup quantities. The rub was amazing. Can't wait to make it again!

Pork was good. Sauce not so much. Had to add more ketchup and brown sugar to make it edible.
