This was awesome. WE followed the suggestion of another reviewer and used the peel cooked in the quinoa then pulled it out - made it more subtle. We also added the currents to the quinoa cooking about midway through its cook time. We like our currents and raisins to plump up. This paired really well with a greek style pork tenderloin. I think this recipe could stand on its own as a vegatarian dish - maybe add some black beans.

This dish is super easy and completely delicious. I've never made quinoa before and I'm so glad I tried it. I'll make this dish again for sure.

I followed the recipe, used lemon zest since didn't have rind. Added diced red pepper and more raisins, golden and black. The tumeric really makes this recipe! Will definately make it again!

I usually love Tyler's recipes and will try anything he recommends because it is slways so good. But this, we just wasn't. I am not sure if I just messed up royally of what. I followed the directions and even after I thought it tasted poor went back to double check I hadn't missed something, but I really did do exactly what the recipe said. I didn't think the textures complimented each other. It was a bizzare mixture of ingredients. I did like the tumeric flavor in the quinoa, but think I will leave out he olives and currants next time. Actually, who am I kidding, I won't be making this again. It was pretty bad.

I just happened to have ALL of the ingredients and made a quick meal with this side dish and a salmon entree. After reading the reviews I decided to try a great "Tyler-tip" from a similar recipe and used a vegetable peeler to make a 2" strip of lemon rind instead of chopping it up to flavor this dish... IT WORKED PERFECT! Once cooked we discarded the strip and the lemon permiated the dish without being too strong. My husband especially liked the combination of ingredients. Oftentimes, Quinoa can be rather flat... But not this recipe! Tyler, Tyler, Tyler... this is a great dish! Very satisfying.

This is an easy, tasty recipe. I skipped the currants (none on hand, decreased the salt (and low sodium broth probably best, and added leftover steamed yellow squash. Yummy!

Didn't use the lemon rind-we're not huge lemon fans. This was a good, different dish- I only know a couple other ways of doing quinoa and I like this one. Will cut back on the onoin next time, though. Oh yeah-used craisins instead of currants. Cool mixture of different flavors/textures, and the small bit of sweet was right on. Thanks for the vegan show!
