I've been making this for awhile now. Saw Tyler make it on TV and had to try it. I've never made it with the scallops (! because the risotto is fine by itself. Even the kids will eat it - if they help make it :
So easy and delicious. Great way to use up those garden veggies in the summer...instead of mushrooms, I've thrown in zuchinni and/or peppers.

This was my first try at making risotto and now I understand why everyone raves! This dish was delicious. I halved the recipe and it still made enough for 3-4 as a main dish, so I'd say the original serves more like 6-8! I added in 3/4 cup of peas to make it a one pot meal and it was so good. Thanks Tyler! This one is a keeper!

This needed more salt , herbs, cheese, and butter than the recipe called for to be good. Use all of the stock and make sure you cook the scallops at the end or they will be tough.

my house smelled awful for days from the scallops, so the whole romantic theme was caput. It was okay, but not all that different from a riceroni or uncle ben's box. I wouldn't make it again, although I usually love Tyler's stuff.

The taste of the dish was amazing, but if you are going to make it don't cook the scallops until the risotto is almost done. The recipe says cook them first and have them sit. By the time the risotto was done cooking they were so dry it distroyed the meal. I will try again, but hold off on cooking the scallops.
