I made this for dinner on New Years Eve. I reduced the amount of salt and pepper by 1/2 and had to use dried rosemary and thyme (1 teaspoon eachand it was incredible. We loved it and I was able to eat the "crust". It was amazing. I was so impressed that I will make it again soon. Normally I only enjoy prime rib in restaurants, but not anymore. We overcooked it just a tad and it was still very tender and yummy!!!

This was an amazing prime rib, so good that most of the family passed up dessert in order to eat more! Check cooking times and above all else, remove the crust. It DOES not say so in the recipe, but you must. Enjoy!

Read the reviews before I prepared the roast and followed suggestions. 1/4 Cup salt was perfect, and you must scrap off the crust. The flavor combination was excellent. The meat was so tender and juicy. I'll always cook prime rib this way.

Perfect recipe, except cooking time needs to be carefully considered as the result may lead to slightly better done beef than medium rare.

On the TV show when Tyler made this dish, he CUT OFF the crust. He then talked about how the crust was too salty to eat. I guess that should have gotten into the printed recipe.

I was suprised at how easy this recipe was to make. My only complaint is that it was to salty. This recipe was so good that I'm makeing it again for Christmas dinner but will be cutting the recommended salt portion in half.

This recipe was very easy to follow. It had an excellect blend of flavors. I made this dish for a dinner party and all my guests raved about it. It is the perfect dinner party meal, quick and east to prepare and leaves lots of time to spend with your guests.
