Andrew, I've posted four or five reviews over the past week and the site is working perfectly. I actually live very close to you. The recipe is a winner - just make sure you turn them to avoid burning.

This isn't a real review. I'm just seeing if I can post a review on this recipe, 'cuz I've been trying for 4 days to post a review on a brownie recipe and this website has been balky ever since, and they haven't fixed it. So I thought I'd try to post a review elsewhere, and see if it worked.

I added crushed garlic, fresh thyme and a small amount of lemon rind, and made a paste with the oil, salt and pepper and lightly rubbed the asparagus. It works in the oven, but it gets a little browned in the broiler...only takes 5-6 minutes.

I never liked asparagus. I guess cause my mom always used the can asparagus. I made this for my husband one night, he did get a little. It was all I ate that night. Almost all of it...LOL... This is the only way I cook it now. As for the person who said to much salt. You know how much you like, so only use what you like. Very easy and fast for a quick dinner

I served this for Christmas Dinner and everyone asked me for the recipe. When I told them that I just added S & P and good olive oil, they couldn't believe that's all there was to it.

I've never peeled my asparagus before, but I did for this recipe and loved the end result. It was easy to bite into without all that extra stringy skin. I used the called-for proportions of olive oil and salt, but the asparagus was waaaay too salty! AND I am usually a fan of lots of salt. Too much salt. I would cut by half or down to 1/4 of what's called for. I think 2 Tbsp. is too much olive oil as well. There was a lot of extra olive oil left in the bottom of the baking sheet. I'll try this dish next time with less olive oil and salt.

This recipe rocks! I love the flavor roasting gives the asparagus. I doubt we will ever have steamed again.

This is an excellent way to prepare this vegetable. I have mad it several times. The last time I added sliced grape tomatoes. I got rave reviews on that!
