I made this for a dinner party, it was a huge hit. Even the skeptics loved it. It was quick and easy to make I even saved some time by buying the preseasoned goat cheese and since I couldn't find baby pears at my market I just used regular pears and cut them into quarters. I will definately make this again.

it was my first time trying this recipe, and it was a bit messy. Most of the family was too nervous to try it. Those who did try it said it was pretty good, but it was difficult to eat. I liked it, but it might not be the best choice for a finicky family.

I made these as an appetizer on Christmas Day & they were EXCELLENT!! Super easy to make and the herbed goat cheese and pair are a great combination. Enjoyable!

These pears where very good. I had never eaten goat cheese and well I absolutely loved it. I made them as a salad with arugula and they where perfect.

Sweet pears with the salty sharpness of cheese and bacon -- mmm! Try to let your pears ripen, it's best that way.

My husband wanted something simple to add to our Thanksgiving menu -- and I proposed this as a salad based on the reviews.

    Wow!

The subtle sweetness of the snall Anjou pear, the creaminess of cheese, the crisp saltiness of the bacon: utterly amazing.

We were unable to get arugula, so used watercress with its delicate pepperiness. I think that any green with some bitterness will work.

Definitely try this. Salad, appetizer, side dish: it will work and impress your family and guests.
