I paired these sweet potatoes with Steak and they were awesome. After 25 min. in the oven at 375, I then put the broiler on for about 3-5 minutes, just for extra brown crisp on the edges, and they were amazing. My husband even liked them and he is not a sweet potato fan!

I made two batches of this. I followed the recipe for one, and added to the second. For the second batch, I drizzled maple syrup over them and left out the oil. And, the family liked the syrup covered sweet potatoes better. I liked them both, but the first batch was a little bland for the kids and I figured this would be the case so I made the second batch. Instant success!

We eat sweet potatoes every 2 weeks and I was looking for something different. While making cutting the potatoes, someone walked through the kitchen and said, "Hey, that's too many sweet potatoes." He was wrong. There were barely enough for leftovers and the diners skipped the mashed potatoes completely. I added some garam masala and it gave them a more savory flavor. I'll make this often except in the summer when I don't want to heat the oven. By the way, they took almost 40 minutes to reach the desired tenderness.

these were really good! i made half the recipe and cooked for about 30 minutes. i actually prefer these to mashed sweet potatoes. the only thing is they aren't very diet friendly, but definitley a keeper!

These sweet potatoes were awesome! My husband who until this year thought sweet potatoes were a horrible thing even loved them. They even hold up great for leftovers. They have just the right amount of sweetness and don't have all the sugar and junk that traditional sweet potato recipes have.

Being the only person in my family that likes candied yams with all the fixin's, I compromised this year and tried out this recipe. The recipe is defineatly not as sweet as your typicall mashed dish with marshmallows & streusel topping, but gives just enough sweetness with the honey, and spice with the cinnamon. The only thing I wish would have been different was to have them be more crisp, but trying to time all dishes for thanksgiving with only one oven isn't easy!

Made these for the first time for our Thanksgiving dinner. The dish lacked taste and was almost "bitter" with the cinnamon. I would never use this recipe again. I'll use the leftovers to mash and add the butter and salt.

Used 1/2 the oil and was still great and didn't need the extra olive oil when serving. Took an hour though, which was good to know from the other reviews. Also, mixed the orange yams with the yellow sweet potatoes and it looked so pretty and tasted great! Will definitely make it again and again!

Wanted to try something new but unfortunately these were very bland and boring. In hopes of salvaging them I will be rough mashing them and proceeding with my favorite sweet potato recipe with bourbon, butter and brown sugar struesel topping.
