I made both dishes from this episode for my Wife's Birthday and they were fantastic. I made another tenderloin recipe from Tyler and it was a flop. This made up for it by far. Still a big fan.

I have always been nervous about cooking center cut filets, however this was great! I did not make the crab salad. When the filets came out of the oven, I topped them with gorganzola butter that was made in advance and chilled. The butter melted over the filet and was wonderful. The tomatoes were fabulous!!
Tyler, thanks for making me confident to cook tenderloin in the future!!

This was just what I was looking for - I usually prepare tenderloin similar to this, but usually with a steak rub and without the cherry tomatoes. I always felt something was missing the way that I did it. The tomatoes added nice flavor and the juices left over in the skillet provided for a nice sauce if you didn't want to prepare the crab salad. I did prepare the crab salad, but found that I didn't have chili past and the store was out. I substituted with chili powder (about 3/4 tsp and it still came out great.

Looks like a winner to me. I'll try this one on my family tonight. My brother thinks he's got the best surf and turf. this should slow him down.

Filet was so easy to prepare. Served mine with butter/garlic sauce. The crab salad is wonderful - could be served as a dip also!!! I used Thai hot pepper garlic paste because i could'nt find what Tyler recommended. Will certainly make this again.

This is "NOT" just for a special night!

My family and I enjoyed this meal very much, in fact I am preparing it again for the second this week. I found this recipe to be very tasty as well as easy and quick to prepare.

With the rising cost of food, if you shop well, it is very affordable served larger sides of your choice.

    Thank you,

I liked both the crab salad and the steak on their own. Together they ruined each other.JPW

That crab salad looked so good my mouth was watering. One dinner this week is planned, six to go.
    Thank you, Tyler!

I have made this crab salad recipe over and over, for guests, family, and pot lucks. Everyone loves it. It can be used as a salad, sandwich, stuffed in a tomato or avocado. It always turns out great! I would truly suggest not changing it in any way. The sambal and cilantro are what makes it the best! If you don't use them it will not be at all the same. Thanks so much, Tyler.

I will definitely make use this recipe again, but maybe not in the suggested manner. I loved the beef and loved the crab salad, but not together.
