This tomato soup is awesome. It's rich in flavor and very easy to make. I made it with just the type of tomatoes that I found in my local grocery store and it was still fantastic.

I think i may search exclusively for Tyler's soup recipes from now on- this was superb! I am vegan, so i used vegetable broth instead of chicken,left out the butter, and coconut milk instead of cream, which worked with the flavors magnificently! My family loved it! Thank you!

I like the idea of how it is perpared but I did not like the taste at all. This time of the year where I live in winter tomatoes aren't their best.But I will try it agian some time.

I became hooked on tomato basil soup after trying La Madeleine's tomato soup. I have tried many recipes to try to simulate that soup, and have been very disappointed. This is by far the best tomato soup recipe I have ever tasted. It is very fresh and light, and reheats very well. My husband and I fight over the leftovers. Great recipe Tyler.

I made this soup because it looked so delicious and simple.the recipe was easy and the roasted tomatoes and onions made it fabulous. what a difference roasting and caramalizing made in the flavor.however i used low fat milk to reduce the calories and it was still the best i ever tasted.tylers recipes are always great.

I tried this recipe after seeing the show and it was delicious. I made some "healthy" changes and it still turned out amazing. I used vegetable broth and nonstick olive oil spray on the tomatoes, onion, and garlic. I also added nonfat evaporated milk instead of cream. Next time I will definetly blend the basil into the soup. I only used it as a garnish, but I think it would go great. Thanks for a wonderful, rich recipe!!

This was great! I don't have am immersion blender, so did it in small batches in the cuisinart. I didn't add butter, as I used homemade chicken broth, but did add the cream. My husband loved it. Will make it again forsure. Can't wait to do this during the summer with my garden fresh tomatoes.
