Loved this soup! I noticed the recipe didn't mentioned to pull out the bay leaves. Forgot to do that on my own. I might add a couple of tablespoons of tomato sauce to it next time, to give a bit more richness of tomatoes, as it is winter and the tomatoes aren't as prime for flavor.

I really enjoyed this soup. Even though I used my immersion blender for a long while, not all of the tomato skin "dissapeard". I didnt mind a few lumps, but were we supposed to blanche and peel them first? Great flavor though, I will certainly make this again!

Homemade tomato soup a lot easier than I thought it would be! Had a nice flavor from the roasted vegetables. I'm sure I'll do this one again!

This recipe was quite easy. I added herbs when roasting the vegetables as Tyler did on the show. I did not add the butter & the soup was great. I made the soup ahead of time with the exception of adding the cream. Great for a dinner party.

This is a superb soup recipe, subtle and sublime but rich with flavor! I used less cream (only about 1/3 cup and it was just right. I also added a little Southwest flair by mixing 1 tbsp chipotle sauce with 2 tbsp softened unsalted butter and adding a dollop in the bowls as they were served. The underlying heat and flavor worked exceptionally well with the soup. This will be one of our family flavors.
