Easy to prepare with simple ingredients, this is comfort food at its best. Make it your own by subbing orange peel for the lemon, and adding some cranberries, or swapping out the vanilla extract for another flavor.

Amazing and simple. I have tried other rice pudding recipes and never like it, but I devoured this one!! The lemon zest puts it over the top, nice and refreshing finish to the warm, sweet gooey rice. Thank you Tyler for another awesome recipe

This is a go to very good rice pudding that rivals any Greek Restaurant. I tweak it from a recipe learned from a friend born, raised in Beirut. He finished it with orange blossom water. no lemon. I use non fat milk, vanilla, a touch of almond extract. Soak raisins in a shot of dark rum. Add the drained raisins, cinnamon, a small amount of fresh grated nutmeg, 1/2 tsp orange extract at the end. It's delicious. Drink the reserved rum. Yum. :

Excellent rice pudding. I used Almond Milk (unsweetened and reduced the amount of sugar to 1/4 cup. Next time would add more raisins and maybe try Vanilla Almond Milk.

This was such an awesome, easy recipe I just can't recommend it enough. I made it really simply- without the raisins, cinnamon, or lemon zest (my fiance likes simple food and it came out perfect. I saw that many of the complaints stemmed from burned rice/dry pudding. You just have to cook it on low (which is not specified in the recipe and keep an eye on it and stir it every once in a while. Voila: perfect, tasty rice pudding.

I made this with some leftover white rice and LOVE IT! I think the lemon zest really adds something that otherwise wouldn't be missed, but I wouldn't make it without it because my husband and I enjoyed the subtle citrus tang. Reducing the sugar a little or using a substitute like Splenda or stevia might not take a lot away either. I definitely plan on making this again.

I left out the lemon, raisins, and cinnamon, and tempered one egg yolk before adding to the pudding... it adds a richness that you will love!
I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I prefer it my way better.
