I did this recipe 4 times to see if I made an error, and each time the pudding didn't come out like rice pudding. It was dry by the time it cooled and even drier by the next morning.

Does the recipe call for three cups of dry rice, cooked? Or three cups of cooked rice?

    Thanks for any advice!

I substituted cooked brown rice for the cooked white rice, used 1% milk and cut the sugar a bit to make it a little healthier. It is great - so creamy and yummy! I prefer brown rice over white rice because it is sort of chewy. I also use Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract made by Nielsen-Massey Vanilla, Inc., because I think it is far superior to any other vanilla extract I have ever tried. You can get it at Williams-Sonoma or other cooking stores. It is very expensive, but well worth it.

This is fantastic. As good as Mom's in half the time. Easy one pot dessert. It sure satisfied my craving for something sweet. Rock on Tyler!

A recipe that is easy to follow, and can be adjusted in many ways, once you get the hang of this simple recipe. Oh, it taste great also!
