This meal is absolutely delicious. As previous reviewers have stated, the salmon directions are excellent and the fish comes out beautifully with irresistibly crispy skin. The potatoes are awesome, but my personal favorite is the creme fraiche, which is bright, lovely and refreshing.

I was a bit skeptical making this for guests without a dry run, since I don't cool fish often, but this was a fool proof dinner that was absolutely delicious. The salmon directions were perfect (though my house smoked up a bit, good thing we were eating outside and the potatos were a surprising hit. They perfectly compliment the fish and are my family's favorite way to eat taters now. (Prepare extra of everything, this makes is a great breakfast of salmon/eggs with potato pancakes the next day. Awesome recipe Tyler, thank you!!

I loved this recipe ... it was simple and delicious... The ingredients were not that rare or hard to find .. I'm sure they can be found in any kitchen.. the recipe had the right amount of detail .. although short it still taught you useful cooking tricks...

The combination of the simple flavors of the salmon and the rich flavors of the mash potato mix was great..

The crispy salmon texture also worked extremely well with the soft texture of the mash potatoes.. the food was filling, tasty and healthy ...

Also achieving a chef inspired presentation with this recipe was almost inevitable!
it was brilliant Tyler! .. I never thought I would like a salmon dish as much as a pizza or a pasta dish! thank you .... I'm now your biggest fan!

Note: as tyler mentioned in the recipe taste then add the salt and pepper.. my food was slightly salty ..

Hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I have! Good luck!

I used skinless salmon which must be a big mistake. My salmon just tasted blah with only salt and pepper.

I do not see creme fraiche or sour cream in the recipe? I'm assuming this goes in the smashed potatoes?

Beautiful, succulent, and delicious. I watched the show, which made it easier to construct the meal. Everything was perfect together. Due to the budget, I did substitute sour cream for creme fraiche. And, the smashed potatoes, what can I say. PERFECT MATCH for the salmon. Thanks so much. What a keeper!
