If your invited to my house for dinner you know I will be trying a new 'gourmet' recipe. It the fun and excitement of the night. It might be great or it might not. but its never the boring bar-b-q This dish is a hit. Recipe ask for, request to 'break' the rules and make again. I don't eat the traditional green bean casserole and this dish is perfect for any Holiday table.

This recipe was quick, easy and delicious. I give it 3-stars because while it went over very well at my dinner party, I didn't think there was anything particularly spectacular about the dish. I'd make them again... definitely a good choice for picky eaters.

I chose to omit the sour cream since I didn't have any, and it was still delicious! Would love to try it with the sour cream next time. -ahueats

Wow! I had my doubts when I read this recipe (which had been printed and tucked away in our holiday folder. I made this in our "test kitchen" in anticipation of the holidays and it was simply incredible. Our children, none of whom will normally eat green beans, devoured this dish. It's not a veggie dish for every day but definitely a winner for a special family occasion. Thank you Tyler as you seem to never let us down!

Made this for Thanksgiving and it was delicious! Cooked my green beans for 3 minutes instead of 5 and sauteed the garlic with the mushrooms as other reviewers suggested. You should definitely add the sour cream!

I have made this recipe anout a dozen times and it always turns out great! I use bacon instead of pancetta and I add more mushrooms. Make this recipe, you won't be dissapointed!

I was really impressed with how these turned out. They are really delicious! Even good leftover. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, I substituted bacon for the pancetta. I highly recommend adding the garlic with the mushrooms instead of earlier with the pancetta/bacon.

this was a good recipe, HOWEVER, i did not care for the pancetta, will use bacon next time... and it was bit too oily, so next time i will cut out most of the olive oil.. but overall, it was good and will make it again.
