    Everyone including my 1 year old loved this. I used carrots and parsnips. Instead of heavy cream, I used a 1/2 cup whole organic milk and a 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese. I omitted the chives b/c I didn't have them, but it was still SO herbacious from the fresh herbs. My husband HATES parsnips and LOVED this!

    I have made this for the last 3 Thanksgivings ~ and Christmases ~ because my extended family keeps asking for it! It is so yummy ~ kids and adults love it! Very tasty and beautiful, too! Thank you Tyler!

    A friend made this for a birthday party, and it was a big hit with adults and kids alike. I loved it so much that I'm making it for guests this evening.

    Unfortunately, not a single person I made this for liked it. I had to throw all of it out. It really is a nutritional powerhouse, it looks beautiful on the table, but the taste was not up to par.

    I got a call from my sister asking for the recipe this year. My entire family loved this including those who arent big on trying "new" things. This dish was finished first!

    Those mashed root vegetables were awesome!! Everyone loved them at Thanksgiving last year and I plan to make them again.

    I have made this recipe a few times now and I really enjoy it. It has a rich and savory taste that I just can't get enough of. My one suggestion is to decrease the amount of cream when you prepare it. I always end up with a lot of leftover herbed-buttered-heavy cream that I, unfortunately, just toss and it seems wasteful. Still, it is a great recipe that will wow guests because it is so different and tasty.

    Extremely easy. I left out the rosemary just because I don't really like it (too overpowering but without it had GREAT flavor. What an amazing alternative to mashed potatoes. The entire family on Thanksgiving LOVED it. I would make it again and again!

    I expected a mashed potato texture, but it's chunkier (I even used a hand mixter. The taste is very good, if you like root vegetables. My father (a southern meat-n-potatoes man preferred plain mashed potatoes. I recommend making this the day before -- the flavors melded and it was even better.
