From the previous reviews I understand that it would be better to cover the dish and than bake it. I will be making it tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I will also leave the cream aside for some time so it develops more flavor, and add some cheddar along with the parmesan. Hoping for the best! Thanks Tyler!

I tried this recipe tonight to test before my actual thanksgiving meal...I made an addition of a blended cheddar cheese mix into the layers along with the Parmesan cheese. I also made a little beschamel sauce, because I was afraid the dish would dry out....it was amazing and so easy!! My family devoured it, this is a must try and will be a hit!

We made this using almond milk and 2 tablespoons flour instead of the cream, and herbal butter instead of regular butter. Delicious and HAPPY! :

Great recipe! I made a few adjustments. Warmed up the cream with garlic and thyme and left it for about 30 mins for the flavours to develop into the cream. Browned some bacon bits and added it to the layers with minced onion. I also added cheddar with the Parmesan to the layers. I covered it and baked it for 45 mins after which I topped it with mozzarella and baked it uncovered until golden brown. There were no leftovers! A keeper! Thanks Tyler!

Came out little dry.. and Potatoes Uncooked.. Honestly I made before my way and believe it should be covered for 45 minutes than uncovered to brown top after.. After all what is the reason to keep uncovered ?
