I made these potatoes for Christmas this year and my family loved them! I took the advise of other reviews and thinly sliced the potatoes, which I highly recommend. This dish may become a holiday tradition in our home.

Made this for Xmas dinner and it was a big hit. Simple to prepare, smelled lovely in the oven. Held well in a warm oven while the roast rested. I did not use any salt at the request of a family member and it was still wonderful with the pepper, thyme, and Parmesan. Nice and garlicly - delicious!

I made this 2 days after Christmas, will probably add to Christmas dinner menu for next year. Very, very good.

I used exactly 2 pounds of thinly sliced potatoes, baked it for 1 hour and 15 minutes and potatoes were still hard. It was very disappointing.

This recipe turned out to be pretty tasty. The cream, thyme, and garlic created a really delcious sauce. My only complaint is that it took much longer to cook than the recipe stated. (About 90 minutes as opposed to 50! Thankfully, the main entree was in a slow cooker, so I was able to delay dinner a little...Other than that, it was very good, and I will make it again.

I have been searching for the best scalloped potato recipe for a very long time...at least 20 years. I don't think I will look any longer. This was just deeeelish. The only thing that I did differently was to add some "Garlic and Herbs Boursin Cheese'" with the cream sauce. OOOOOOOOHHHHHH was it ever good.
