This recipe has just the right balance of seasoning and creamy, cheesy sauce. It's simple to prepare and the entire family loved it!

Wow what a great recipe. I doubled this for Christmas and it was a huge hit. Since I am a big fan of do-ahead cooking, I made the dish the day before, then let them sit in the fridge overnight, then reheated them the next day. The potatoes absorbed all the extra sauce, they were not too rich, but delicious. I brought the cream to just a boil, and that seemed to make the sauce quite thick.
We will make these again for sure.

I made these for Christmas eve dinner and they were a huge success. Make sure to slice potatoes thin and I used three instead of two. It takes about an hour and 10 minutes to cook completely. I cover them for the first hour and let the top get crunchy for the last ten minutes or so... They are so great!!!

This is one of the most flavorful potato recipes that I have ever tried. My entire family loved it and everyone wanted the recipe. I tripled the recipe for Christmas and it worked out great. Be sure to slice your potatoes thin enough and you wont have any problem with the cooking time.

I made this recipe to go along with my Christmas prime rib. I read all the reviews prior to cooking and made sure I allowed at least an hour for the potatoes to cook all the way through. I also used three potatoes rather than two. The potatoes turned out perfect; they were completely cooked within 50 minutes and were easy to prepare. I will definitely make this again and again.

I read a couple of reviews from folks saying the potatoes weren't done. Maybe they didn't slice them thinly enough. Mine turned out perfectly in the recommended 50-minute total cooking time. The two potatoes made a surprising generous size dish--plenty for 6. It was very easy to prepare and was a rich, flavorful side dish for my Christmas dinner this year. My husband had seconds and raved about my new potato dish! I will definitely make this again and again!
