Usually when I attempt scalloped potatoes, I end up making soup. This was easy. It's a lauching point recipe that you could play with. I do recommend cooking the potatoes partially before hand.

We did not like this. And I gotta tell you, we try a lot of new recipes and usually rate a 4 or 5. I think the recipe must be stated incorrectly. The parmesan cheese was overwhelming.

Nice recipe...I added fontina cheese as well as the parmesan (just a little twist in the flavor. The nutmeg knocks your socks off...so good even my 3 year old ate it! There were NO leftovers...

There is a mistake in the ingredients. It should say 2 pounds of potatoes instead of 2 potatoes. Also, the cooking time is definately longer than 40 minutes. I would say close to an hour to have really soft potatoes. Overall, it was an okay recipe. I might make it again. We found it too rich for our liking. I usually enjoy all of Tyler's recipes, but this one was a bit disappointing.

This dish was easy to prepare. An all around good candidate for your regular meal rotation.

I made this recipe for Christmas dinner. I did have to add more potatoes, about 9 total (regular size and about another 3/4 cup of cream. It served 6. Everyone raved about how good these potatoes tasted. It was very easy to prepare. I will defintely make this recipe again!!

I made this for Christmas eve and it was wonderful, I had to triple it for the amount of people I had over. Only thing was I added a few more potatoes and a little less than 3 times the sauce, but maybe they were using larger potatoes. Overall the recipe was easy and very tasty.

The flavor of these potatos was good, but I cooked them with the meat for over an hour and they were still not done when I served them. It was very embarassing to say the least.
