Very yummy! Next time I will use peeled & devained shrimp and pre-chop veggies to save time.
I messed up pretty badly by under cooking my rice, chopping of a hunk of my thumb
and forgetting the shallots. Still, this was 100% better than anything from a box or an overpriced
take-out place. I will try this with chicken, snow peas and carrots next. Instead of soy sauce I use a stir fry sauce for more flavor. It was very good and a must for my next potluck.
Minus my fingers. :

Very good and simple recipe when you crave Asian food. I love Nappa cabbage and thought the flavors were quite authenic. I'm looking forward to trying it with chicken and/or pork.

Tasty and fairly easy to make. I just wish the rice came out a bit more "al dente" for lack of a better word. I may decide to use a little bit less water in the cooking process. The flavor is spot on but the texture is just a little off from that of a restaurant. Its a definite "make again" though. Thank you Tyler!

Our whole family loves this meal but our kids especially crave it. If I made it twice a week it would be fine with them. We use two cups of Jasmine rice and it works just fine. For the kids we substitute two-three boneless skinless chicken breasts (diced for the shrimp. We also season the chicken with Old Bay and we add a touch of srirachi sauce to the wok while cooking. Great meal!!

This is a very tasty dish. No adjustments necessary. Like all wok dishes, make sure you have everything ready to go as it moves along quickly.

Pretty easy to make and good flavors. It seems basic because its just soy sauce, but it really develops the dish nicely. Will make it again!

I haven't made fried rice before and this was a very good template to learn from as far as the stages of cooking. I might cut back on the ginger next time, and I added a little chili sauce for spice. You could add more vegetables during the time you stir fry the cabbage, maybe carrots and broccoli. You could also substitute beef, chicken or pork for the shrimp. I will make this again.

I used a mix of brown and white rice, and I didn't have any shallots so I used green onions instead. FABULOUS!

i didn't have any cause i'm on a diet but my sis and bf loooovvveeddd it! i did use brown rice instead of just regular white rice. it smelled fabulous but i did have to buy more shrimp to use because it made so much rice and there just wasn't enough shrimp. i would definitely make this again.
