This is a great recipe. I added onions when I added the chicken stock and it cmae out wonderful. Great flavor!

For someone who never mastered pork, and tend to dry it out.... this was very good, fast & easy to do all on stovetop. Kids and hubby gave it thumbs up. I did add a bit of fresh thyme and tarragon, because I had it on hand.

I had been looking for a recipe for smothered pork chops that did not include "one can of soup." This is it. Tastes like it has been cooking for hours with a very rich gravy. I like to add sliced onions and mushrooms to the pan prior to adding the flour and buttermilk (the secret ingredient!
