Ok, nothing great and I cook all types of ethnic foods. I thought it would have more flavor but pretty bland for Spanish food and we travel often.

But where is the squid? It's traditionally made with squid rings, too. I like mine with white wine added. Aioli also should accompany the dish. Will try again with calasparra rice if I can find it online.

I thought I would never find a recipe for this!!! I had this one evening at a dinner party and I about fell in love with it. He however used octopus in lieu of the shrimp, but it was amazing. This was probably 8 years ago now and I have been desperately searching for the recipe. The only other thing was he made a homemade hot sauce to serve on the side, delicioso!!!! YUMMY!!

Great recipe, even for beginers. The only thing missing was a good recipe for Aioli (Spanish Garlic Mayo, which goes terrific with the Arroz Negro.

Okay, so I didn't use squid ink, and I used regular rice, olive oil, and roasted paprika as substitutes. But the dish was still amazing and pretty easy. So many healthy recipes are bland. But this one was full of wonderful flavors, and we will be making this all of the time.
