I made this to go with some carnitas. I was a perfect accompaniment. It was not gloppy like some slaws can get, so it retained the crunch of the veg. As I did not have access to red chilies at my grocery store I omitted them, but added some cayenne and extra hot sauce to the dressing. I think that this slaw might be a bit too intense to just eat with by itself, but for putting on tacos, pulled pork sandwiches, etc. it really hits the spot.

This is a great recipe not sweet like most coleslaws, had w/ pork sandwiches and Tylers Ultimate Potato Salad, which is by the way the best potato salad i have EVER tasted!

I made this slaw and topped it on Emeril's pulled pork sandwiches and it was a hit! I substituted the red chili pepper for a jalepeno and used dijon mustard instead of creole mustard. Since I am not much of a spicy person, I did not add the hot sauce at the end. It came out wonderful and really made the pulled pork sandwiches.

I'm from the South and have had slaw every way possible but this is the best ever! I used three red peppers but will use six next time, as we Texas gals love spice! Followed the recipe exactly and used my Kitchen-Aid to grate the cabbage and the carrot - so much easier! This slaw must be refridgerated for a bare minimum of three hours, btw. The flavors develop beautifully!

from traditional cole slaw! Made this for a crowd and had none leftover. Even the people who don't like cole slaw went back for seconds. Had lots of requests for the recipe. This recipe is a keeper!

Overall this cole-slaw has a pretty good flavor, however the red onion was a little overwhelming. I ended up picking out most of the onion. I would make again, minus the red onion.

My husband and I loved this slaw recipe! I used pre-shredded slaw and it was faster than shredding it myself! I will make this again, no doubt!

I am not a fan of cole slaw because I hate mayo. This looked good because it was different and not full of mayo. My guests and I loved it. Some thought it could have used a little more flavo, but I thought it was a very nice, fresh version that I would make again.
