wonderful flavor. very fragrant. I was impressed how sweet asparagus can be. Super duper easy. I overcooked it which was my fault yet it was still delicious. I am a little concerned though with the amount of olive oil used to wet the bag.

This was so so good!!! This recipe is a great way to highlight spring asparagus. They were cooked perfectly, still a little crisp with lots of flavor!

Talking about a way to prepare asparagus that makes even asparagus haters turn into lovers! This recipe is one of the easiest out there and the end result is perfect. Asparagus comes out delicious - even if you skip the brown paper bag part. Sorry, I just can't feel good about shoving a paper bag into a hot oven. Absolutely delicious!

These asparagus were so SIMPLE and delicious! Steaming them in the bag makes them soft and moist without being soggy...they still had a little bite to them!
The only thing I did different was I added a little parmesan cheese in the bag. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!! This recipe is definitely a keeper!

I liked the addition of the lemon. Skipped the bay leaf this time. On the show, he drizzled olive oil on tbe asparagus pieces and sprinkled salt, so it would stick he said. That works. I watered the bag as suggested by a reviewer. I think this is a healthier as well as delicious way to eat asparagus, as opposed to roasting and grilling. Might try a little higher temperature next time to roast a little, but the steamed in bag process is good. You can get paper bags without print on them, folks. Lemon, olive oil and some good sea salt - good combo for asparagus.
