We loved the Baked rigatoni, Italian sausage and Eggplant and followed the recipe including the San Marzno tomatoes, but the asparagus just was too oiley and not steamed, no taste of the lemon at all. All six of us agreed, grill the asaragus....no paper bag next time.

This recipe is pretty clever, but I really like my oven roasted asparagus better.

This is so easy and so good! And your guests will freakout when you put a paper bag covered in oil in the oven.

This was a quick and easy way to prepare the asparagus. Great in the winter when it may be difficult to grill.

My daughter and I utilized this asparagus recipe and I could not keep her out of the finished product. The asparagus was crispy, flavorful...and what a fun, easy concept! I will use this technique for asparagus every time. Thanks!

Love this recipe/technique for two reasons--excellent tasting asparagus and it's easy to prepare ahead of time and pop into the oven when the rest of the meal will be finished.

We have made this several times and it has turned out perfect every time. We use two pieces of parchment paper instead of the paper bag. We seal the edges with metal skewers. The flavor is fresh, not too tart but with just enough tartness to be more interesting than other recipes I have tried. Also, much lower fat than asparagus with hollandaise sauce. A keeper.
