Very tasty! I made the whole recipe for just my wife & me (we're BIG mussel fans, and we enjoyed every bite! Caution: limit the amount of bread you put out, because the sauce is just way to delicious to stop eating!

I don't know if I did something wrong, or if I'm just spoiled to the excellent steamed mussels at a couple of restaurants I've been to, but after reading all of these glowing reviews, I was a little disappointed with how these turned out. They were good, but I have had much better sauce with steamed mussels before.

I only had green shell mussels, but as for the sauce, it was very easy and had a wonderful flavor. I will definately make this again.

This recipe was absolutely amazing! This is the first time that my husband had mussels and he loved it as much as I. I did do one thing wrong, I did not believe the reviews that it would be fine with just bread. So I also made shrimp pasta. Needless to say, I won't make that mistake again. All we did was eat the mussels and bread. My husband laughed at the fact that we each had a bagguet, and all of the bread was gone by the end! AWESOME!

I made this recipe with a few substitutions using chopped shallots & fresh flat leaf parsley. I sauteed the shallots a few minutes, left out the thyme & leeks, followed the rest of the recipe then added the fresh chopped parsley at the end. I served it over angel hair pasta & it was fabulous!

I have made this dish many times with steamer clams, not mussels. It is great and a big eye popper for company, without much work!

    A very forgiving dish. Enjoy!

Used this recipe for the first time ever cooing mussels and it was a HUGE hit! My hubby couldn't stop going back for seconds and thirds and fourths and... Needless to say, he liked it. My 3 year old even said he liked it! I was lacking leeks so I used grilled green onions and didn't have fresh herbs so I used dried, worked great. I made up some whole wheat spaghetti noodles to go with and mixed the sauce in with them then topped it with queso fresco cheese and the mussels. SO tasty! Next I might try adding a touch of lemon to add a little something extra. But this was a big win!

Simple recipe but so good! Make sure you have a loaf of crusty French bread to sop up the liquid.

SO GOOD! I never write reviews, but feel i have to because this is so awesome. This was my first time making mussels and i did omit the thyme as i feel it can be overpowering. My husband, MIL and I loved it! My MIL said they were the best she has ever had and drank her broth as well as the rest of ours....i have ordered mussels at restaurants since and they don't come close to this amazingly simple and delicious recipe. Thanks Tyler!
