AMAZING!!! Will never cook Artichokes any other way. I did have to cook them a little longer because mine were huge but otherwise wouldn't change a thing!!

Great smelling broth. Need to know what size artichokes Tyler used here because 30 minutes for mine gave me the ''done'' indication while inserting the knife into the base, however the leaves were completely uncooked. Another $$$ down the drain. Very sad. I grew up in California and love artichokes. Perhaps different parts of the country have different varieties?

I'll keep on trying! Perhaps a pressure cooker would steam these guys better.

This recipe is absolutely marvelous. Just made the artichokes seconds ago and had to right this review.
I added all the ingredients including the artichokes to simmer in chicken broth, rather than water.
I added chopped garlic versus the whole garlic intact because it did not specify chopped or not. I added just two table spoons rather than four because of the bold flavor of garlic. The pepper adds that extra kick and great taste. Thanks Tyler fr this great recipe!

This was my first attempt at artichokes and I am SO glad that I tried this recipe first!. The flavor is amazing - as stated by others. I poured the liquid into the artichokes after stemming and right before serving them - who needs butter with beautiful flavor like that!!
My seven year old daughter could not get enough. I will need to cook more next time!

I am addicted to this recipe! This has got to be the best thing I have ever tasted! I am only wondering if anyone has other ideas of what to steam besides artichokes. My husband, who detests artichokes, ate his so fast that he was trying to steal mine! This flavor is INCREDIBLE! Five stars are simply not enough.

Sounds like an intriguing approach. I usually microwave mine nowadays.

The stem that many people cut off and throw away can be eaten. Trim off the rough bottom and the peel on the side. Cook with the artichoke. Basically tastes like artichoke heart. I missed out on this for many years.

A good dip with artichokes is mayo and vinegar about 3 to 1 mixed with a teaspoon of sugar or sweetener. Very tasty.

I was very surprised at how flavorful these artichokes were! These are loaded with flavor. My husband, and even my 3 year old loved them. I can't wait to make these again!
