This was a delicious way to be reintroduced to the whole artichoke. All of the ingredients were on hand and it was a fund Sunday project.

I am not blaming the recipe! Or the chef.

Pecorino Romano was terribly salty. I should have realized when I tasted it fresh and cooking just condensed the salt.

Then there were the artichokes, which I either undercooded or were tough as can be.

Lastly, how do you eat these? Fork and knife? Tear off the leaves and dip in the cheese mix? I didn't get to see the episode so I don't know.

Definitely not making this again, unless someone can point out the error of my ways!

Been doing basic artichokes for years, just boiled them. Tried this way to do to them using the spices and broth. It was outstanding. Why had I not thought about this before. Great floavor to the final product. A big hit at the table even with the young ones who often turn up their nose to anything like this.

Love this recipe and I use it all the time. The artichokes come out perfectly steamed. In the summer you can use your fresh herbs, just about any kind work. Make a dipping sauce of vinegar and butter!

Very green in color and thats what I wanted, plus it had a very nice garlic flavor, but not overpowering like some recipes I've tried. I will be serving this recipe again.

Seemed there was little need to almost prepare a soup to steam the artichokes. Simpler would have been better.

I had always had artichokes steamed in plain water and served with mayonnaise for dipping. This recipe blew me away. There's so much more flavor and the lemon butter really accents the artichokes.

    Wonderful!
