The dip is absolutely delicious. I serve it with thick cut chips and celery sticks. Any "non blue cheese lover" that I can convince to try it is surprised that they like it..........and the blue cheese lovers can't get enough of it. I don't know if it's the lemon juice or the honey that puts it over the top but whatever - it works.

Fabulous! I keep the chili mixture in a shaker with my spices. I use it on regular chips, too.

Loved them. Simple and easy to make. I had to stir the chips up in the deep fryer basket halfway through to get them to crisp evenly, but that was simple enough to do. Don't be shy with the spice dusting - needs a lot on there.

Absolutely fantastic! The dip is my all time favorite. I have been using it as a dressing for a salad with tomatoes and cucumbers as well.

    Out of this world!

This recipe alone is worth the price of the book it's in.

    Thank you Tyler!

I LOVE these chips, they are so good and everyone I've served them to loves them. I also like to use the spice mixture on roasted or mashed sweet potatoes, and sometime I add in a little chipotle powder for something different. The spice mixture is so yummy, you definitely have to try it.

I recommend doing the sandra lee thing and buying pre-made sweet potato chips and heating them in the oven a few min before serving! It took us about an hour and a half from start to finish (and no I didn't soak them!...not exactly the kind of time I like to spend on a side dish. On the other hand you should make the dip and serve it with everything!! I will make that again!

Let me say first that this combo was delicious. This was my first time deep frying something and it turned out to be very easy. I made the chips and dip for a crowd and I wanted to have them as an appetizer, but they took more time to cook than was listed in the recipe, so I kind of ended up standing over the chips for the whole first part of the night. Like the recipe says the chips ARE NOT GOOD later, but you've got to have more time than is mentioned to cook them. The dip is AWESOME, but I will half it next time because it made way too much than what was needed. I didn't even make the seasoning part, just used salt on the chips.
