I made this for our Super Bowl party and everyone loved it! I did use low sodium soy sauce, half the amt of grapr fruit juice and doubled the brown sugar

So good, so good, so good! If using frozen wings, let them soak in cold water to thaw, then pat dry. No lite soy sauce on hand? Then use 1/4 c. water to regular soy sauce to make the 1c. required. Didn't add any more salt to the wings. Try using pineapple juice instead of grapefruit juice. Used white wine vinegar, added more brown sugar, minced the garlic and used red pepper flakes instead of the red chile. I'm not a fan of ginger so just omitted. After cooking for 30 min., I tossed them in the sauce, then broiled 5 min. each side... the end result was fabulous.. I follow my mom's rule...you can't rush some savory foods--even chicken wings!

The sauce is great, it's definitely worth making. I used non-stik foil to line the baking sheet which worked well. Also put them under the broiler to finish for some extra crisp.

Don't let the wing soak in the sauce. If you don't have low-sodium soy. Diltue regular soy with water. I never Kikkoman it is way too salty. Use Aloha brand soy sauce. It has a light taste and not too salty. If you can't get a hold of Aloha soy sauce dilute regular soy sauce with water.
