Somewhat difficult to put marinade on after cooking the wings awhile, definitely raise temp to 450. Really tasted good though with unusual flavor and nuances.

After reading reviews I didn't pre-salt the wings and used an asian thin soy sauce (better than american lo-sodium soy sauces. Also, I used orange juice instead of grapefruit and 2 serrano chilis as there were no red thai bird chilies available. Mine did take longer in the oven to crisp, and I would recommend putting down a piece of foil as the sauce made a huge mess on the cookie sheet. Came out great and not too hot. For the woman who threw out the sauce, you can't judge by just tasting the sauce. I thought it wasn't all that great either but after it bakes on the wings the result is fantastic.

I fixed this recipe as a snack for the super bowl game. I had to chase my husband out of the kitchen so there would be enough wings to serve our friends during the game. I used orange juice instead of grapefruit juice for the sauce. I also reduced the milk added to the bread crumbs to half a cup and added a dash of alspice to the meat mixture. The sauce did taste salty from the pan, but after it is baked, the chicken absorbs it and only a wonderful teriyaki flavor is left. No more fried wings for me!

Was planning to make these for Superbowl party. Good thing I made the sauce this morning - before the party - because I had to dump it out and make a different sauce. The saltiness of the sauce made it inedible to me - yuck.

For the person who said these were addictive wings on 10/26/2004. I don't see how you can rate this recipe 4 stars when you made the mistake of not using low-sodium soy sauce and thought they were addictive! Why should Tyler's rating suffer for your mistake. We all know that noone is perfect, so, if you like the recipe so much, give it 5 stars. This goes for all the other people who give 4 stars and say they really liked the recipe.

Just a suggestion:
You might try the KoonChun brand of Thin Soy Sauce sold in oriental markets. After removing the bottle cap you will be treated to a rich freshly brewed aroma. Very sophisticated soy sauce, no heavy, salty taste. You'll never go back to store bought. Trish

I LOVE these wings!!! My husband does not like sesame seeds, so just omitted that and it was fantastic. I make these wings at least twice a month for company. Very addictive.
