I made this recipe for a family party. It was ridiculously salty and inedible. Don't use it as a sauce. If you do need to use it as a sauce, significantly reduce the amount of soy sauce.

I love this simple recipe. It give great flavor to chicken thighs and I brush it on as the chicken cooks. So worth trying and better than bottled.

Oy my goodness. This is the best Teriyaki sauce/marinade by far. Living in MS the Chinese Restaurants here do not have teriyaki steak on their menus. My husband took this recipe, sliced up steaks and put them in the sauce to marinate for several hours. The steak tasted like the ones we used to get at our favorite restaurant in the North East. Thank You Tyler for a wonderful and simple recipe. Diane

My husband loves asian sauces. I tried this with some steaks that had been in the freezer too long and it was great. I also tried it again with some large shrimp. I saved some before adding the shrimp for a dipping sauce. I added some fried rice and it was great. My husband loved it.

I made this teriyaki sauce tonight for a chicken stir fry. The sauce was good and delicious. I wouldn't say it was terrific, but it was good and tasty.
