What a great sauce. Fresh taste and yummy. The Brine made the chicken so tender. The sauce I cooked early in the day and after I took the chicken out of the brine which I left it in for hour then I put the chicken in plastic bags with some of the sauce in the bag for 15 minutes and then put the chicken on low on the grill. Turning it and basting it very slowly and it turned out so delicious. I will never buy bottled barbecued sauce again. My dinner party was a 5 star event thanks to Tyler Florence

I used chicken breasts (boneless and cooked the chicken completely on the grill, on indirect heat for the basting portion, after the initial grilling. I also used 3 pieces of bacon, (since my son and I love bacon! in the sauce and chopped it into small pieces before browning it and left the bacon in the sauce since the recipe wasn't clear. My intent was that I would finish it off in the food processor but it was so good after cooking the sauce there was no need, the bacon almost dissoved into the sauce. It was awesome! My son loved it. I also grilled shrimp skewers and used the sauce on the shrimp as well! A definite keeper for us!

This is the BEST chicken I've ever cooked! Even my husband said it's the BEST he's ever had! It was soooo moist, this is the way from now on I will cook my chicken - especially marinating it in the brine. (I used chicken breasts by the way.

Instead of finishing the chicken in the oven, I cooked it indirectly on a cookie sheet on the grill. No need to heat up the kitchen.

My whole family loved this recipe and I even cheated using Bottled BBQ Sauce. The brine was great. My only complaint is the that the skin didn't get crispy. How do I get the skin crispier? I did 5 minutes on the grill on each side and then baked in oven. Should I grill longer? The chicken otherwise was excellent! Not dry at all. Very good!

Loved it. I didn't have the powdered mustard so used some Dijon instead and I watched you make this on the food network and you put a lot more than 1 slice of bacon. So, I put about 6 pieces and just eyeballed the amount of ketchup. I don't even like chicken, but I was loving this. Thanks

The family liked it, but we all agreed, the sauce is too sweet for our tastes. I even put some red pepper flakes in it to give it a little "bite", but the sweetness of the sauce is quite intense. We prefer our Bar-B-Q much more smokey. The chicken is really tender, and I like the idea of a brine. I would make it again, but modify the sauce.

This is my new favorite, until I try Tyler's next recipe! I was going to use a bottled sauce, but I'm glad I made this sauce, not too much... perfect amount of flavor. And I have plenty left over for next time or on pork steaks : I did use 3 strips of bacon (I LOVE bacon! and I didn't have any fresh thyme, but the dried stuff worked fine. My hubby hates BBQ anything but he told me to add it to "the list". And the leftovers were fantastic! Thank you Tyler!!!

My first review, this was the most fantastic bbq chicken recipe ever! The brinning made the chicken very moist and tender. The recipe in full was time consuming, but worth ever minute. Thank you Tyler, will do recipe "all summer long."

Made the sauce exactly as Tyler made it on the show. My husband loved the sauce. We teamed it up with the cornbread, slaw and my baked beans. What a super Memorial Day meal. Shared some with a very grateful neighbor.
