Best ribs ever. One problem is that the recipe is not well written. On the show the ribs were basted three times over one and one half hours. The total cooking time is three hours. It should read baster every one half hour for one and one half hours.

" JUST ABOUT THE ONLY RECIPES I MAKE ARE TYLER 'S. AND I HAVEN'T HAD A MISS YET! THEY ARE ALL EXCEPTIONAL. I MADE THESE RIBS FOR A DINNER PARTY AND THEY PRACTICALLY DEVOURED THE BONES AND ALL. I DOUBLED THE SAUCE AND IT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH. WE WANTED TO WALL PAPER OURSELVES IN THE SAUCE. AND THE RIBS WERE RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. I ALSO ADDED HIS BUTTERNUT SQUASH CHIPS WITH THIS DINNER....AND WOW...THEY ARE AMAZING! BUT YOU DO NEED TO SLICE THE SQUASH EXCEPTIONALLY THIN....BUT YUMMMMMMY!!!!! GOSH, I'M SALIVATING JUST THINKING OF THESE RECIPES. UNBELIEVABLY GOOD....AND MY GUESTS THINK I AM THE BEST COOK ON THIS MOUNTAIN....THANKS TYLER!!!

No way!!! This is the best rib and sauce recipe!!! Made i a few weeks ago for my boyfriend and I and we enjoyed it so much. Had left over sauce and used it another day on chicken. So good!

I am no professional chef but I do believe I have kitchen skills. This was truly one of the worst rib recipes I have followed ( to the "T" as the saying goes, and I have followed my share. It took well over an hour longer than suggested to cook the ribs, they never browned properly and they just did not taste all that good. Really somewhat greasy. Like most Tyler Florence recipes I have tried, I am sure its good when he cooks it (? but good luck in your kitchen- I have never had any luck with other recipes of his.

My guests raved over the baby back ribs I made using Tyler's Ultimate recipe with homemade sauce. Just reading down the list of ingredients lets you know it's going to be fabulous: bacon and peach preserves?? How bad can that be!! This sauce is easy but absolutely complex in taste. Sweet/savory/slightly vinegary/slightly smoky. What else could you want?? A definite 5-star recipe.

Just as all other reviewers commented, the sauce is amazing!! I recommend cooking the ribs in a pressure cooker for about 45 minutes with an onion and some garlic, then basting and finishing them in the oven turning them over once and continually basting. Talk about falling off the bone!! Also cuts alot of time off the whole process!!! Enjoy!!

I've been making this recipe of Tyler's for over a year now and thought I'd finally write something about it. Quite simply, these are the best ribs I've ever made. I follow the recipe to the letter except the cooking time in baking the ribs - I increase it by an hour, and by the time they come off the grill they are fall-off-the-bone awesome! And the BBQ sauce recipe - well, my family calls it liquid gold. They don't just eat it on ribs, they eat it by the spoonfulls.

This are the best BBQ ribs that I have ever made. I made the sauce the day before. Only thing I did different was cook them longer, I think it was about 3 1/2 to 4 hours total. Slow and low. I left the onions and garlic in the sauce because we love onions and garlic. I think I also used more bacon. It's a pork fat thing! Ribs just fell off the bone. We each got up during the night for a "midnight snack". These beat the heck out of Famous What's His Name ribs, for sure!

After cooking, I mince the onion and bacon and add it back to the sauce. The spices and peach perserves make this sauce the absolute best. I use it on anything that calls for BBQ sauce.
