Everyone raved about this beef stew, next time I might try it by leaving out the orange zest. It is a very strong flavor, like it but will see how it tastes with out! YUMMY!

This stew was unbeleivable. Like many others, I used 2 cups of Shiraz which added a nice spiciness and a smell to die for as well as 4 cups beef broth. I also, omitted the orange and cloves (only because I didn't have any. My boyfriend and I both agreed this was the best stew and one of the best meals we have ever had.

That says it all. If she was happy, you will love the beef stew. Leftovers were even better two days later.

We loved all of the ingredients in this stew EXCEPT the orange, cloves, and wine. I would substitute chicken/beef broth for the wine and just completely dump the orange peels and cloves. Wine was just WAY too overbearing.

Excellent! I'm not a huge fan of beef stew or I should say I wasn't until I made this. It is so tasty and the meat is so tender. Definitely a keeper!! I will make again and again.
