I usually make an excellent beef stew but wanted to try Tyler's Ultimate Beef Stew for dinner party. It was fantastic. The raves from the guests were wonderful--"fabulous", "better than the best French bistro". Better raves than I ever received from my own recipe. Thank you Tyler!

Just finished making it, I especially love the subtle orange flavor from the rind.
Easy to make and very delicious.

This is a great recipe. It is very rich and flavorful. Watch the orange zest. Mine separated and got lost and wasn't very good if you bite into it.

Made this for friends and everyone loved it. Was simple, rustic, and extremely flavorful. I did have to thicken the sauce at the end but no big deal. Tyler's recipes are one of the few I will try on company and know they'll come out great!

Loved the stew! The horseradish mixture was excellent, a must have, and the first I've ever liked. Will use less orange next time. The bread was great. I will make the bread and the sauce with other dishes.

OK, I watched this on his show and thoroughly enjoyed it, but what is with all the olive oil being drizzled over every thing constantly? Especially when the recipe was done and he poured more olive oil over it.....I cringed....don;'t need all that FAT! Stop the insanity............just leave it be, it will be great, I promise!

This was a very good recipe, my kids didn't care for it, maybe more for adult tastes, but my wife and I loved it. To make it ultimate, you do need all 3 elements: stew, horseradish sauce and garlic toast. If you leave out the sauce or the bread, it's still ok, but not "ultimate". I'll be making it again soon.

I thought this recipe was very good, but probably wouldn't consider it "the ultimate".

Next time I think I would leave out the orange zest and user a drier wine (used a Merlot that was too sweet - my fault, not Tyler's!. Otherwise, really liked the consistency of the sauce and the tenderness of the beef.
